The Israeli Druze Center was established in 2018 by  Dr. Amir Khnifess the idea's originator and founder. Dr. Khnifess, a veteran social entrepreneur, political science lecturer and reserve captain, saw the size of the gap between the slogan and the myth of the "Druze Jewish  Alliance of Life"  in Israel and the reality of a real lack of familiarity, discriminatory legislation that crushes the potential for cohesion required between the Druze community and Jewish society in Israel.

Dr. Khnifess decided that there should be an honest and genuine acquaintance in which the Jews living in Israel initiate a real and honest acquaintance with the Druze on the basis of life and everyday issues, an acquaintance with the diversity that exists in the Druze society in the human aspect, the essence of life, the culture, different and interesting voices and building relationships based on  real acquaintance and connection of civil, cultural and social interests.
